C. Medium of Instruction (Cantonese or Putonghua) for Chinese Subject
丙. 中文科教學語言（粵語或普通話）
For the General Education compulsory Chinese subject, the College offers two versions, namely LCH1105 Chinese Communication for College Students (Cantonese Version) and LCH1106 Chinese Communication for College Students (Putonghua Version). You are required to decide which medium of instruction (Cantonese or Putonghua) you would like to choose for your compulsory Chinese subject upon admission*. If you would like to switch to the other version after indication of your choice, you must submit a written application before semester begins.
If you choose LCH1106 Chinese Communication for College Students (Putonghua Version), when you enrol in a bachelor’s degree programme after graduation, you may apply to the institution concerned for credit transfer or subject exemption (institutions have the discretion to accept or refuse such applications). If you choose LCH1105 Chinese Communication for College Students (Cantonese Version), depending on individual institutions’ requirements for students’ language proficiency, you may be required to take relevant Chinese subjects. For details, please consult your programme leader.
* If you do not indicate your choice, you will be assigned to study LCH1106 Chinese Communication for College Students (Putonghua Version)
學院必修科之一的中文科分為 LCH1105 大專中文傳意（粵語授課）及 LCH1106 大專中文傳意（普通話授課）兩個版本。你於入學時必須二擇其一*，以符合學院對學生語文能力的要求。假如你在選擇後欲作更改，須於開學前以書面申請。
假如你選擇修讀 LCH1106 大專中文傳意（普通話授課），完成本院課程後升讀學士學位課程時，可向所屬院校申請相關中文學科的學分轉移或學科豁免（個別院校有權決定是否接納申請）；若選擇修讀 LCH1105 大專中文傳意（粵語授課），視乎個別院校對入學學生語文能力的要求，你或需修讀相關的中文科。詳情可向你的課程統籌查詢。
*倘若你不作出選擇，你會被編入 LCH1106大專中文傳意（普通話授課）。

D. Student with Special Educational Needs
丁. 有特殊教育需要的學生
HKCC endeavours to offer equal opportunities to all students, with or without special educational needs. If you have special educational needs, please specify below. The aim of collecting such information is to identify students with special educational needs at an early stage so that adequate support and／or special arrangements such as counselling services and extension of examination duration can be provided. If you do not provide sufficient information, we may not be able to accommodate your needs. We will invite you to provide supporting document(s) such as medical certificate(s) before the commencement of the academic year 2023/24.
學院致力提供平等的學習機會予有或沒有特殊教育需要的學生。若你有特殊教育需要，請簡述有關情況。這些資料有助學院及早識別有特殊教育需要的學生，以便提供適切的支援及/或特別安排，例如輔導服務及視乎情況延長考試時間等。若你未能提供足夠資料，學院可能無法為你安排所需的服務及支援。學院將於2023/24學年開課前邀請你提交相關文件，例如醫療報告等。

E. Use of Personal Data in Direct Marketing

Hong Kong Community College (HKCC), an educational unit of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)-affiliated College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE), would like to advise you from time-to-time about optional activities and services which may enrich your study and student life. After you leave HKCC, we would like to maintain contact with you to update you on the latest development of PolyU／CPCE／HKCC and benefits, activities and services available to you. PolyU／CPCE／HKCC may use your name, correspondence address, telephone number and email address to provide you with information on the following activities, services and facilities (collectively, “marketing subjects”):

Co-curricular activities, student exchange programmes, placement opportunities, research participation, competitions, programmes, courses, workshops, seminars, conferences and events organised by PolyU／CPCE／HKCC alone, jointly with other parties or by other parties;

Scholarships, grants, loans and financial assistance schemes;

Privileges, discounts and offers for services, goods and other facilities provided by PolyU／CPCE／HKCC alone, jointly with other parties or by other parties;

Services offered by PolyU／CPCE／HKCC (e.g. PolyU Pao Yue-kong Library, CPCE Libraries and CPCE Health Centres, etc.); and
-
Charitable, educational, cultural, social and other activities that solicit contributions, donations or participation.
PolyU／CPCE／HKCC cannot use your personal data for sending information on the above marketing subjects to you without your consent.
香港理工大學（PolyU）專業及持續教育學院（CPCE）轄下的香港專上學院（HKCC）會不定時通知你最新的活動和服務資訊，這些活動和服務能夠豐富你的學習經歷和校園生活體驗，你可以自由選擇參與。你離開HKCC後，我們仍希望和你保持聯絡，讓你知道PolyU／CPCE／HKCC的最新發展、各項優惠、活動和服務詳情。PolyU／CPCE／HKCC將會使用你的姓名、通訊地址、電話號碼和電郵地址，向你發放以下活動/服務/設施的宣傳資訊：
